Motorola Razr Fold, Edge 70 Fusion, and Moto Buds 2 Unveiled at MWC 2023 (2026)

Motorola has officially unveiled the Razr Fold, alongside the Edge 70 Fusion and new Moto Buds 2, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The event marks a significant step for the company, as the Razr Fold is its first book-style foldable smartphone, initially teased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

The Razr Fold boasts a 6.6-inch external display that folds out to reveal an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO internal display, providing a seamless viewing experience. The device supports an adaptive interface with the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, enabling smooth navigation, note-taking, and sketching across the operating system. Under the hood, it's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device is equipped with a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 80W Turbopower charging for extended usage.

The camera system features a 20MP outer and 32MP inner front-facing camera, along with a 50MP main camera and 50MP telephoto camera with 3x Optical zoom, both utilizing Sony LYTIA technology. The 50MP ultrawide camera supports macro photography. The phone is available in two colors: Lily White and Blackened Blue.

Motorola has not yet confirmed the Razr Fold's availability in Australia, but local representatives have hinted at an upcoming announcement. Meanwhile, the Edge 70 Fusion, designed for those who prefer non-foldable devices, offers a blend of elegance, comfort, and durability. It boasts IP69 and IP68 protection, MIL-STD-810H certification, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, ensuring it can withstand various adventures. The phone features a 6.8-inch Extreme 1.5K Super HD resolution AMOLED display in Pantone-inspired colorways.

Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile platform, the Edge 70 Fusion includes a 5200mAh battery that provides up to 39 hours of usage and supports 68W turbo charging. The triple rear camera system comprises a 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 710 main sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide + Macro camera, and a 32MP selfie camera embedded in the display. Lastly, the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus have been introduced, offering Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and enhanced audio experiences.

The Moto Buds 2 cater to a younger, entry-level audience, providing up to 11 hours of playback with a total battery life of 48 hours, including the charging case. They feature dual 11mm Dynamic Drivers and 6mm Micro Planar magnetic drivers, supporting hi-res audio. The Moto Buds 2 Plus, on the other hand, incorporate 'Sound by Bose technology' for improved sound depth and detail, with up to 9 hours of playback and 40 hours in total with the charging case. Additionally, the Moto Buds 2 Plus introduce Audio Share, allowing users to connect two pairs of buds to share media with a friend.

Motorola Australia will provide further details on local launch dates as they become available, so stay tuned for more updates.
